Lucha Lords at Inner-City Arts Summer on 7th Fundraiser

On July 31st 2010, the Lucha Lords made a special appearance at the Inner-City Arts “Summer on 7th” fundraiser in downtown Los Angeles.  Inner-City Arts is a non-profit organization that reaches out to kids in some of the less fortunate areas of Los Angeles and gives them the opportunity to succeed academically and personally through music, the arts, and technology.

At Lucha Lords, we strive to combine Lucha Libre into every facet of art & culture; so for this event we called up our good friends at APHIDoIDEA for a helping hand and they came up with a “Interactive Lucha Exhibit”.  The exhibit was a mixture of architecture, video, and direct interaction with authentic L.A. luchadores.

We would like to thank everyone at Inner-City Arts for the great time we had at Summer on 7th.  The Lucha Lords and the designers at APHIDoIDEA had a blast.   We can’t wait till next year.

Photos: Luchas! Luchas! Luchas! Segunda Caida! @ Roberto’s Club

On May 29th, 2010, Roberto’s Club in Los Angeles threw an event celebrating the awe-inspiring greatness that is, lucha libre. The event featured live music from the enmascarados de cumbia El Conjunto Nueva Ola, a DJ set from famed LA DJ CHEE-BO, a LuchaLords photobooth, an all lucha libre art gallery from art curator and creator Chatismo, and all-night drink specials. Rey Lee and dual championship belt holder Lestat even took time out of their busy schedules of delivering swift and powerful justice to rudos, to party it up with their friends here at LuchaLords. The night was filled with good music, good tacos, good times, and cold beer. For those of you that were fortunate enough to be there, you should find your photobooth pictures below along with pictures of the band.

Photos: Yucaipa Weekend Lucha Show

On May 22th, Lucha Lords was invited to provide a private Lucha Libre show for a non-profit organization in San Bernardino County at the Yucaipa Regional Park.  With two Mano-y-Mano Matches and a final lucha with what ended up being 3 tecnicos versus 2 rudos, the Los Angeles luchadores rocked the park and the rumble was heard all throughout San Bernardino County to L.A.!  The families, children and employees had a spectacular time being entertained by the spectacle that is La Lucha Libre Mexicana.

We thank the organization for hosting us, we had an awesome time. We would also like to Fernando of Sol Entertainment for providing Lucha Lords with spectacular sound. This event had great people, great food, and was a great opportunity to enlighten and really show off to our new fans what authentic Lucha Libre really is all about; family, fun, and good times.  Below is a link to a photo album with all the mayhem and smiles!  Enjoy! GO METAL BOY!

Photos: IMW – Cabellera contra Cabellera

In late March the IMW veterans and luchador legends, Murrieta Jr and Indio Mendoza, both put their hair on the line for a Cabellera contra Cabellera match. The loser of the match gets their head shaved in the ring. Even though Indio Mendoza had way more to lose, he was confident that he could beat Murrieta Jr so he accepted the match. In a roaring upset, Murrieta Jr used every dirty trick in the book to win the match and Indio’s hair.

Here are photos of the match along with the other great matches of that night. Just some of the included luchadores are Rey Lee, Blood Eagle, Super Mariachi, Indio Chirikawa, and many more. It was truly a night to remember.

Photos: Highlights from IMW Mar 7th, 2010

In this photo gallery we have some highlights from the lucha libre show on March 7th. It was an IMW event in association with LuchaLords. There was music, there were tacos, there were drinks, and of course there was lucha libre. In these highlights we have some of the Los Angeles area greats luchando para la gloria.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets online, it’s $8 online and $10 at the door. No online ticket fees, plus it’s fast and it’s secure. With the $2 you save you can get some of the best tacos in downtown… or I guess if you had to you could use it to pay for your kid’s admission.
So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now!

Photos: Get Well Soon Piloto Nuclear!

On February 28th, IMW held a lucha libre event, in conjunction with LuchaLords, during that event Super Natural blatantly injured the neck of Piloto Nuclear in an attempt to keep him down. Piloto Nuclear had to be taken out on a stretcher.

Super Natural, you better watch out because Piloto Nuclear is gonna come for you and he is going to be itching to put you in that same stretcher.
